is the eldest daughter of Waldhark Rofinnar, the king of Girania. She’s married to Helbar Stemraon, the crown prince of Erephonia, but as privileged and comfortable as her life in Emerald Point is, she isn’t happy. is the youngest daughter of King Waldhark of Girania, and it’s because of her that all the lady courtiers in Octower wear wigs and veils. Miona has been made to use them since she was presented to the court to cover her misshaped features and the other ladies picked up the habit because they thought it was fancy.
Miona is a neglected child. She has no real relationship with either her father the king or her queen mother. Her closest and only friend in the court is Sage Otmar, her old teacher. She isn’t the easiest person to get on with.
Toren ‘Tor’ Eddesen
MC/Book One
is a sellsword/warrior and belongs to the mercenary brotherhood Sons of Stryader. His greatest strength is his all but insuperable skill in wielding his greatsword, and his major weakness is women. For a warrior, he’s quite reluctant to lop off people’s heads. He would rather solve problems with words than with the sword.
He is a jovial man who always wants to help others and be there for them but keeps his own sorrows and concerns largely to himself. He’s a natural-born wanderer and despises the thought of binding himself too tightly to any place or person.
